The Samsung Galaxy W20 is set to be released in China on November 19. However, images of the smartphone have appeared to have been shared by the popular certification agency TENAA.
91 Mobiles reports on the update, while sharing the mobile’s supposed model number of SM-W2020. Within the images, the phone highly resembles Samsung’s recently released Galaxy Fold.

When folded, the handset has a long, narrow build, making it easy to hold with one hand. There is also a hinge on the right edge. There is also a volume rocker, fingerprint scanner, and power button on the left side.
Despite revelations of the W20’s exterior, there is no information or images shared of the screen while unfolded. Nonetheless, the reports show that there is a triple camera unit on the device’s rear panel.
Along with this, there is an LED flash just below the lens. There also looks to be another sensor with this LED, something that the Galaxy Fold doesn’t have.
What other features?
TENAA states that the W20 will hold a 4.6-inch cover display and 4,135mAh battery instead of a 4,380mAh one. Additionally, the handset’s dimensions 160.9 x 117.9 x 6.9mm, which matches the Fold.
When it comes to internal specs, it is expected to hold up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. This is also what units of the Fold offer. By going further on what the W20’s sibling offers, it will most likely come with 5G connectivity and run One UI atop Android 9 Pie.
Ultimately, the price tag of the model is rumored to read at 120,000 rupees, which is around $1700, at the current exchange rate. The Fold’s adaptability was well-received by its owners. It’ll be interesting to see how the W20 will offer an alternative.
Another premature reveal?
These images are another set of supposed leaks involving products made by tech giants. Continuously, important releases are prematurely shared by third-party companies. These are usually accompanied by low-quality images, not showing the product in the best of ways.
The constant occurrences of these incidents add speculation that these leaks are endorsed by the manufacturers, in a bid to create a buzz. As the images aren’t so clear, they get consumers speculating and talking to each other. Regardless, we can expect that Samsung will soon be dropping the grand reveal, with high-quality footage.
Samsung had also shared imagery of a folding phone concept last month. The footage shows a much more tangible device, being able to fold in multiple ways. It looks like we are seeing a long-term comeback for flip phones. This style dominated handsets up until the late 2000s. However, this time, they have gone through a flashy but handy revolution.
