What are the key features?

According to a Samsung press release, the new models will hold 4,500mAh batteries with Super Fast Charging, have 6.7-inch immersive displays, and provide the latest camera technology.

The phones will both offer between 6GB and 8GB RAM and are both powered by Octa Core processors. There will also be 128GB of internal storage, along with 1TB extra available via the Micro SD slot.

The AMOLED Plus screens will provide Full HD+ 1080 x 2400 visuals, along with an Infinity-O display. Users will be able to access the phones with on-screen fingerprints or facial recognition technology.

The body of the S10 Lite is billed at 162.5 x 75.6 x 81 mm and weighs 186 grams. Meanwhile, the Note10 Lite is slightly bigger at 163.7 x 76.1 x 8.7 mm. It also is heavier at 199 grams.

Strong camera capabilities

The Galaxy S10 Lite, like its predecessor, features a main Wide-angle camera and Ultra Wide and Macro cameras alongside the new Super Steady OIS. Moreover, if the latter is paired with the South Korean manufacturer’s Super Steady mode, it will provide higher stability for action-focused images and footage.

Meanwhile, the 12MP Ultra Wide camera has a 123-degree angle lens, supported by the 5MP Macro camera, 48MP Wide lens, and 32MP front camera.

The Note10 Lite holds a 12MP Ultra Wide lens, another 12MP wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera on the rear. There is also a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

One of the important features that Samsung wants to highlight with the Galaxy Note10 Lite is that it comes with the signature S Pen. This will combine with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) to help users point at a presentation and handle video content. They can also take a picture with a simple click.

Furthermore, the pen can be also used with the Notes app to transform the handwritten notes into digitized text. Ultimately, this will enable quick editing for those who need to expand on their notes.

Continuing to meet demand

DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics spoke about the new range. He shared that the two products will manage to maintain the main aspects of their inspirations to deliver the desired Galaxy S10 and Note10 feel.

“The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices have met consumer wants and demands around the world. These devices represent our continuous effort to deliver industry leading innovations, from performance and power to intelligence and services,” he said, as per the release.

“The Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite will introduce those distinct key premium features that make up a Galaxy S and Galaxy Note experience.”

The cost of the products hasn’t yet been shared by Samsung. However, the phones will be on display at CES 2020 in Las Vegas next week. Therefore, the firm will no doubt share more information on the units such as their exact price from there. Nonetheless, it looks like Samsung fans have some new devices to be excited about before the anticipated S11 arrival.

CES 2020 starts from January the 7th and will finish on the 10th. We will keep you updated on any further announcements.
